Quiet, Clear, and Completely Non-Invasive.
Technology
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a safe, non-invasive diagnostic tool that uses a combination of strong magnetic fields and radio waves to capture high-resolution images of the body’s internal structures. This advanced imaging technique enables doctors to detect tumours, injuries, and other abnormalities from multiple angles—without the need for radiation or surgery.
Our MRI System: The SIGNA Voyager
We proudly utilise the cutting-edge 1.5T SIGNA Voyager wide-bore MRI scanner, designed for speed, clarity, and user comfort. Its innovative technology delivers a quieter, faster, and more relaxing scanning process—ideal for patients who may feel uneasy in enclosed spaces.
With its open 70cm bore and low-height Comfort Plus table, the system ensures easy access and a restful position during scans, making the entire experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.

MRI Scanning Services
MRI is widely regarded as the most effective diagnostic tool for evaluating the central nervous system, encompassing the brain and spinal cord. Your physician may recommend a brain MRI to investigate the cause of symptoms such as vision disturbances, dizziness, seizures, persistent headaches, muscle weakness, numbness or tingling, behavioural or cognitive changes, hearing loss, and speech difficulties.
Brain MRI
A comprehensive stroke assessment includes an MRI of the brain with diffusion-weighted imaging, specifically designed to identify and evaluate strokes. Stroke symptoms may present as severe headache, numbness or weakness affecting the face, arm, or leg, difficulty speaking or understanding speech, visual disturbances in one or both eyes, dizziness, and loss of balance or coordination.
Stroke MRI and MRA
Spine MRI produces highly detailed images of spinal structures that cannot be visualised by the naked eye, including the spinal canal, vertebrae, and surrounding soft tissues. It enables precise localisation of tumours within the spine, spinal cord, or intervertebral discs. Spine MRI is a vital diagnostic tool for patients experiencing symptoms such as sudden neck or back pain, trauma to the cervical or lumbar spine, severe and persistent neck or lower back pain, limb numbness, sclerosis, leg pain, or loss of bowel or bladder control.
Spine MRI
MRI provides comprehensive evaluation of bones, joints, and soft tissues, offering multi-angle visualisation that enhances understanding of complex soft tissue structures. It is an invaluable tool in the diagnosis and management of sports-related injuries and is also used to assess outcomes following corrective orthopaedic procedures, such as treatments for arthritis. A joint MRI scan is recommended for patients presenting with symptoms such as knee pain, hip pain, shoulder pain, other joint pain, soft tissue injuries, muscle tears, ligament sprains, or stiffness experienced in the morning or after periods of inactivity.
Joint MRI
Whole body MRI offers clear and precise imaging of individual body regions such as the spine, liver, or brain, while also providing a comprehensive overview of the entire body. It is utilised to detect physical abnormalities, early-stage tumours, and signs of cancer-related inflammation in areas including the head, lymph nodes, and abdomen.
Whole Body MRI
Breast MRI provides detailed visualisation of all breast tissues while eliminating radiation exposure, delivering highly accurate diagnostic information and aiding in the assessment of breast cancer risk. It is recommended for patients with symptoms or risk factors such as dense breast tissue, clinical signs of breast cancer, a family history of breast cancer, suspected leaking or ruptured breast implants, palpable breast lumps, or precancerous breast changes.
Breast MRI
Pelvic MRI is used to monitor, evaluate, and diagnose conditions that may lead to tumours, disease, inflammatory bowel disorders, and abnormalities of blood vessels within the pelvic region, including the reproductive organs. This imaging test may be recommended for patients presenting with abnormal vaginal bleeding, pelvic masses, lower abdominal pain, unexplained infertility, pelvic pain, urinary difficulties, congenital hip abnormalities, trauma to the hip area, or hip pain.
Pelvis MRI
Cardiac MRI is used to assess the anatomy and function of the heart, including its chambers, valves, size, and blood flow, enabling the diagnosis of various cardiovascular conditions, infections, and tumours. A cardiac MRI scan is typically recommended for patients experiencing chest pain, fainting episodes, breathing difficulties, palpitations, rapid heart rate, or chest tightness.
Cardiac MRI
Prostate MRI enables detailed evaluation of prostate tissue and helps assess the risk of prostate cancer. This scan may be recommended for men presenting with lumps or swelling in the testicles or scrotum, or with an undescended testicle.
Prostate MRI
Magnetic Resonance Cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) is a specialised, non-invasive MRI technique used to obtain detailed images of the biliary and pancreatic ducts. It is particularly useful for diagnosing conditions such as bile duct obstructions, gallstones, strictures, and pancreatic diseases. MRCP provides high-resolution images without the need for contrast injections or invasive procedures, offering a safe and effective means of evaluating the hepatobiliary and pancreatic systems.
MRCP
Other types of MRI include specialised scans such as abdominal and chest MRI, breath-hold abdominal MRI, and thoracic (thorax) MRI. These imaging techniques are employed to provide detailed evaluation of the respective anatomical regions and assist in diagnosing a wide range of conditions affecting the abdomen, chest, and thoracic cavity.
